Is e-signature legally valid in India?
Electronic signatures are valid for most commercial contracts in India under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Some documents, such as wills, property sale deeds and negotiable instruments, need other formats, and Deckchi flags those templates.
Do clients need to download anything?
No. Signing happens in the browser on any device, with no account or app.
Can we collect a payment on signing?
On the Sunset plan you can attach a payment link for the first invoice, shown right after the signature.
